Summer Blush and Mauve Toned Wedding at the Cupola Barn - Amanda Ketterhagen Photography
Hey friends! I blogged! (cue the internal cheering) I couldn't NOT share Samantha and Alex's blush toned summer Wisconsin wedding at the Cupola Barn! I know you've heard me say this before, but I found another beautiful venue to add to my list of favorites! The Cupola Barn was on my list of venue's I had been wanting to shoot at, and it did not disappoint! Samantha and Alex tied the knot on one of the hottest days in June! It was 87 degrees and definitely was the hottest wedding I've ever shot, and I'm so glad I wore all black haha! Samantha and her bridesmaids got ready in the She Shed (super cute) and together we shared some of the most honest and powerful moments, that I've ever been lucky enough to witness. Samantha and Alex's Pastor came while the girls and guys were getting ready to pray with each of the groups and it was so unbelievably beautiful.
Samantha chose blush, mauve, and nude toned dresses paired with natural inspired decor. Peonies and Eucalyptus sprawled across the tables to add soft, feminine touches to the masculine wood craftsman styled tables. All of the bridesmaids and the bride wore soft, beautiful flower crowns, which totally added to her feminine look! Side tangent: My tip for brides not knowing whether or not they want a veil, hairpiece, flower crown, etc. is to WEAR THE DAMN CROWN. But in all reality, do what feels the most you, and when in doubt, get both! Sam had said that when she went dress shopping, she told everyone, "No strapless, and no mermaid" (haha) Yet, she ended up with both in her beautiful gown. Every detail was so thoughtfully planned down to the vintage rentals from Gertrude and Evelyn and Vintique Rentals to the engagement photos hanging on a ladder for display.
Sam and Alex shared their vows during their first touch outside of the ceremony site. They were wed in the most beautiful, grassy nook on Cupola Barn's property surrounded by trees and a field. When I tell people that listening to the ceremony is one of my favorite parts of the day, they are always shocked that I'm actually listening while I'm shooting. Sam and Alex's ceremony was one of the most beautiful one's that I got the honor of hearing. Their Pastor shared a message of continuing to pursue one another daily, which I believe is a great reminder to couples in all stages of their life. During the reception, Sam and Alex played the shoe game, which cracks me up every time I see it! We snuck away during sunset to take a few last dreamy portraits. Scroll down to see more from their dreamy wedding!
